What are refurbished/reconditioned items?

These are products that are returned to the manufacturer, who then thoroughly test each product and repackage to nearly new condition. These products have then been approved for resale because they have met a range of stringent standards. Refurbished and reconditioned products are perfectly acceptable and in near new condition though they can sometimes have minor blemishes or minor signs of use, especially in the packaging. They usually come with a shorter warranty period than brand new items.
