Swapping the hard drive in your IceBox

If you wish to clone your existing drive across to your new drive (to keep all of your existing recordings), you can find the instructions at Cloning an IceBox Hard Drive

To complete this process you will need:

• An IceTV IceBox
• The replacement hard drive with the IceTV software installed (if you have cloned your drive it will be on the drive already)
• A Phillips head screwdriver

First unplug your IceBox and turn it upside down

Undo the four screws on the base, there will be one in each corner

Remove the base, being careful of the cables attached to the hard drive

Disconnect the cable from the hard drive

Unscrew the four screws that hold the hard drive in place

Swap out the old hard drive for the new hard drive, ensuring that it is facing in the same direction

Put the four screens back in place to hold the hard drive securely in place

Re-attach the cable to the hard drive (the cable can only connect in one direction) and ensure it's securely in place

Put the back of the IceBox back into position

Put the four screws back in place on the bottom of the IceBox

You are now ready to connect it back to your TV, connect the USB Tuners, the remote control dongle and the power.
