IceTV Accelerator

Note: As of EyeTV version 3.6.8 IceTV Accelerator is no longer working. For EyeTV 3.6.8 and later see this link instead. 

The IceTV Accelerator will enhance the accuracy of your program guide and recordings. You are able to receive program guide updates every 15 minutes. Previously, these updates were limited to just twice a day. This will substantially enhance the accuracy of your recordings. To reduce your Internet downloads we have also made these updates shorter and more efficient.

The IceTV Accelerator sits between EyeTV and the IceTV servers, it automatically downloads program guide and recording instructions quickly and efficiently providing you with an improved user experience.

How to install:

Before installing please check to ensure EyeTV is installed and the software is up-to-date. Setup instructions for EyeTV can be found here.

1. Download the IceTV Accelerator installer file by clicking here.
   Note: If the downloaded file doesn't automatically open, check your Downloads folder and double click on the 'IceTV Accelerator.dmg' file to launch.

2. Drag the IceTV Logo (IceTV Accelerator.app) to the Applications folder on the right to install

3. If asked if you want to install the downloaded file, check yes to continue the installation.

4. Open your Applications folder and double click on IceTV Accelerator.app to run.

5. When prompted "IceTV Accelerator.app is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open?" Click Open

6. When you open the IceTV Accelerator it will ask to automatically check for updates, click "Check Automatically".

System Requirements:

1. EyeTV 3.6.2 to 3.6.5 is required and must already be installed. EyeTV 3.6.8 and later versions won't work
2. Mac OS X 10.7 or later is required.
3. An active IceTV subscription is required, and must be setup in EyeTV's preferences, or you will get an error message.
4. EyeTV must already be configured to use your IceTV account, or you will get an error message.
