EyeTV Error Message - 'Device could not be initialized'

Elgato sold EyeTV to Geniatech in Feb 2016 and all EyeTV product and support information has moved to the Geniatech website.

In 2011 we became aware of a problem that occurred for some EyeTV customers where the EyeTV tuner would stop responding. Reports from the affected customers said an error message was displayed within the EyeTV software saying “Device could not be initialized”.
