If you move areas and need to change the guide region that you receive then you will need to run through a couple of steps to do this.
Note: If your recorder is not a Mac running the Geniatech or Elgato EyeTV software please see How do I change the guide region that I am receiving
This article assumes that your EyeTV software already has the correct channels tuned in and the date and time on the Mac are correct for your state.
First you will need to log in to the IceTV website and go to "My Account > Guide Settings" where you will see the Region option. Set the correct region and channels for where you live and then click on the "Save Settings" button on the page.
You can then force a guide update under the "Program Guide" window in EyeTV (or from the Guide tab of EyeTV Preferences)
Next, the channel mapping within EyeTV will need to be checked as follows:
- Open the EyeTV programs window ("Window>Show EyeTV Programs" from the menu bar).
- Select "Channels" in the source list on the left side of the window.
- Change all the channels to use "None" as their EPG provider. This can be done quickly by selecting all the channels (Apple-A or Command-A depending on the keyboard), then clicking on the EPG column for any channel name and choosing "None" from the list.
- Once they have all been changed to "None" do the same thing but this time select "IceTV" from the list under the EPG column (you will need to ensure that all channels are still highlighted).
