How do I hide or delete unwanted channels from the guide

Sometimes there may be extra channels on your Topfield that you want to hide from the guide. These channels could be duplicate channels or infomercial channels which don't have a guide, or channels that you don't watch or record. There are 2 ways you can hide unwanted channels: You can either setup a favourite group and leave unwanted channels out of the favourite group, or you can delete the unwanted channels. You don't need to do both.

To setup favourite channels on your Topfield

Before you start you can edit the Favourite groups via "Menu > Installation > Edit Favourites". Here you can delete or rename the default groups or add your own group or groups. 
  1. Exit all menus including the guide.
  2. While viewing live TV press OK to open the 'TV Services' list.
  3. Scroll up or down to the channel that you want to see in your favourite channels guide. Note: The order the channels are added to the favourite group are the order they will later appear in the group.
  4. Press the White Option button on your remote (called App on some remotes).
  5. Select 'Add to FAV' and press OK.
  6. Select a Favourite group and press OK (or just press OK if there is only 1 group).
  7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for all other channels that you want to see in the guide (in the order you want them listed).
  8. When finished, press Exit.

To start using your favourites group:

  • While viewing live TV press the OK button.
  • Press the Green button to switch to Favorite List.
  • elect your Favourite group and press OK (or just press OK if there is only 1 group).
  • Select a channel from that group and press OK.
Now when you will only see your favourite channels in the guide, and changing channels via the channel up and down buttons will only change between your favourite channels.

How to delete unwanted channels from your Topfield

  1. Exit all menus including the guide.
  2. While viewing live TV press OK to open the TV Services List.
  3. If the window heading is Favorite List press the Red button to switch to TV Services.
  4. Scroll up or down to the channel that you want to delete.
  5. Press the White Option button (called App on some remotes).
  6. Select Delete and press OK.
  7. Select Yes and press OK.
  8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 for all other channels that you want to delete. 
  9. Exit when finished.
Note: Make sure that you do not delete any channels that are enabled in your IceTV account, or disable them on the right-hand side here: https://tv-guide.icetv.com.au/my-account/
 
Now when you change channels via the channel up and down buttons or scroll through the channels in the guide you won't see the deleted channels.
