1. Initial setup of the Humax HDR-7500T.

The first step to using IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T is to get the PVR up and running. This will involve connecting it to your TV and home network, please refer to your Humax manual for instructions on how to do this. You should also update the firmware on the Humax, steps for doing this can be found at How do I upgrade the firmware of the Humax?

Once the Humax is connected the first time you turn it on you will be taken through the first time setup wizard. The following steps will take you through this wizard.

1. The first screen you will see is the region selection screen, select the state or territory that you live in and press the OK button on the remote control.
   
   
2. You will then be asked to confirm your Display details, if the displayed details are not correct then change them. Once you have confirmed all the settings on this screen select Next at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
3. An Automatic Search for channels will now begin. Once the search has been completed select Save at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
   
   
4. You will now see the IceTV offer information, select OK to continue.
   
   
5. On the next screen you will need to select the EPG Type, select IceTV from the list, then select Next.
   
   
   
   
6. Confirm the settings shown on the final screen, then select Finish.
   
   

You have now finished the initial setup on the Humax. You can now continue on with the setup of IceTV.

If you are connecting your Humax via a wireless connection then you should now run through Setting up the wireless network on the Humax HDR-7500T. However if you used an Ethernet connection you are all ready to setup IceTV on the Humax, to do that select from the following two options:

If you do not already have an IceTV account please go to Setup IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T if you don't have an existing IceTV account.

If you go already have an IceTV account please go to Setup IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T if you already have an IceTV account.

2. Setting up the wireless network on the Humax HDR-7500T.

To setup the wireless network on the Humax HDR-7500T you will need to ensure that the wireless USB dongle is connected to one of the USB ports on the Humax (it is generally best to have it connected at the back and out of the way). You will be able to tell if you wireless network is not setup if you see a message like this when turning on the Humax:

If so, then follow through these steps:

1. Press the MENU button on the remote control. Scroll down and select Settings from the main menu.
   
   
2. Select System.
   
   
3. Select Internet Setting.
   
   
4. Select Configure Wi-Fi.
   
   
5. Select Network Name.
   
   
6. The Humax will now search for any wireless networks that are close, if you don't see your wireless network in the list then you should check the distance between your access point and the Humax (for more information see I can't connect to my wireless network) along with the settings on your access point. Select the name or your wireless network from the list.
   
   
   
   
7. The Security Type should be detected from the network itself, if it's not correct though you can select this option and then select the correct Security Type from the list.
   
   
   
   
8. Select Password, then using the on-screen keyboard type in the password for your wireless network (Please note: To confirm and save the details use the Yellow button).
   
   
   
   
9. Select Apply at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
10. The Humax will then attempt to connect to your wireless network, if successful you will see the message that the network is now configured, select OK to continue.
    
    
    
    

If you receive an error message of any kind you will need to go back through and ensure that the security type and password are correct, and also that your Humax is not too far away from your wireless access point.

Now that the wireless network is setup you can now continue to setting up IceTV on your Humax.

If you do not already have an IceTV account please go to Setup IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T if you don't have an existing IceTV account.

If you go already have an IceTV account please go to Setup IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T if you already have an IceTV account.

3. Setup IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T if you don't have an existing IceTV account.

Before setting up IceTV you must first ensure that you have setup the Humax and that is connected to your home network, details for the setup wizard can be found at Initial setup of the Humax HDR-7500T.

1. When opening the Guide screen on the Humax (by pressing the Guide button on the remote control) you will be prompted to enter your IceTV account details (if you have not already entered them). Select Yes using the OK button on the remote control.
   
   
2. As you don't already have an IceTV username and password select New.
   
   
3. Select Email address, then using the on-screen keyboard type in your email address. (Please note: To confirm and save the details use the Yellow button).
   
   
   
   
4. Select Password, then using the on-screen keyboard type in the password that you would like to use when accessing the IceTV website in the future. (Please note: To confirm and save the details use the Yellow button). You will also need to select Confirm Password and type in the same password again to confirm it.
   
   
   
   
5. Select Confirm and the Humax will create your IceTV account.
   
   
   
   
6. Select Region, then from the list select the Guide region that you will need to receive.
   
   
   
   
7. If you want to change the name of the Device Label you can, just select it then using the on-screen keyboard enter any name you want (like Loungeroom). Don't worry though, you can change the name later from the IceTV website if you don't like what is listed here.
8. Select Confirm to complete the setup process.
   
   

The TV Guide and Remote scheduling information will now automatically download to your recorder. Please note however that the first download of guide information can take between 15 and 30 seconds to complete.

4. Setup IceTV on the Humax HDR-7500T if you already have an IceTV account.

Before setting up IceTV you must first ensure that you have setup the Humax and that is connected to your home network, details for the setup wizard can be found at Initial setup of the Humax HDR-7500T.

1. When opening the Guide screen on the Humax (by pressing the Guide button on the remote control) you will be prompted to enter your IceTV account details (if you have not already entered them). Select Yes using the OK button on the remote control.
   
   
2. As you already have an IceTV username and password select "Existing" and press OK on the remote control.
   
   
3. Select "Member ID", then using the on-screen keyboard type in your IceTV username (Please note: To confirm and save the details use the Yellow button).
   
   
   
   
4. Select "Password", then using the on-screen keyboard type in your IceTV password (Please note: To confirm and save the details use the Yellow button).
   
   
   
   
5. Select "Confirm", then the Humax will connect to the IceTV website to confirm your account details.
   
   
   
   
6. You will then need to select your region and IceTV Device name, firstly select "Region", then from the list select the region where you live.
   
   
   
   
   
   
7. Select "Device Label". If the device name you want to use is in the list then continue on to step 9, but if your device is not in the list select the option for "Add this device", using the on-screen keyboard type in a name for the device (you can call it anything, but something descriptive helps like "Loungeroom" or "Humax") (Please note: To confirm and save the details use the Yellow button). After you have created the new device you will then need to select the "Device Label" option again to select the new device.
   
   
   
   
   
   
8. After selecting "Device Label", select your device from the list.
   
   
9. Select "Confirm" to complete the setup process.
