Setting up the IceTV Widget

Installation instructions for Windows (Yahoo! Widget Engine):

  • Install Yahoo! Widget Engine version 4.5 or higher. See Note below
  • Download the widget from our Widget download page. It will be downloaded to your desktop, or the location you've chosen in your browser's preferences.
  • Double click the .ZIP file to unarchive it (this may happen automatically for you, depending on your settings).
  • Move the widget to your Yahoo! Widgets folder (My Documents/My Widgets).
  • Double click the widget's icon to run it.
  • Follow the instruction below to authorise the widget.

Note:  Yahoo have discontinued their Widget Engine. Currently it is still available on many software download sites like Softpedia's Yahoo Widget Engine download page

Installation instructions for Mac OS X (Dashboard):

  • Download the widget from our Widget download page. It will be downloaded to your desktop, or the location you've chosen in your browser's preferences.
  • Double click the .ZIP file to unarchive it (this may happen automatically for you, depending on your settings).
  • Double click the widget's icon to install it in Dashboard.
  • You will be asked if you wish to install the widget. Click "Install".
  • Click keep to keep the widget.
  • Follow instructions below to authorise the widget.

Steps to authorise your widget:

  • Click on the "Authorise" button on the front of the widget.
  • This will open an IceTV login page in your browser. On this screen type in your IceTV username and password and click on Login.
  • It will then ask you to give a nickname to the widget, do this then click on the "Approve" button.
  • You can now close the browser window and go back to the widget screen.
  • On the widget, click on the "Fetch Token" button to complete the authorisation process.
